In this episode I discuss the faulty logic used by the far-left in their attacks on capitalism. Either they don't understand capitalism, or they do understand it and are living hypocritical lives.

I also address Hillary Clinton's new plan to force companies to move their business overseas using a bizarre new tax plan. http://www.wsj.com/articles/hillarys-patriot-act-1450225626

www.wsj.com
Hillary Clinton’s answers to corporate inversions are more rules and an exit tax, the Wall Street Journal writes in an editorial.

The final "sticky notes" story is a discussion of the left's backwards reasoning with regard to abortion, firearms, education and healthcare.

The myriad contradictions of leftist rationale.

The core topic of today's show is a discussion of the most significant debate topic of last night's GOP debate, the mass collection of American's phone data.

Dec 15, 2015
In this episode I discuss a short audio clip from Thomas Sowell, where he debates a liberal about the benefits of social programs.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GklCBvS-eI
I also address the Obamacare "death spiral" and how it's made its way into left-leaning media outlets, a sure sign of its coming demise.

The final "sticky notes" story is the immediate collapse of the dangerous Iran deal.
https://www.conservativereview.com/commentary/2015/12/iran-nuke-deal-already-proving-to-be-worthless

The core topic of today's show is a discussion of the government and Federal Reserve actions which led us to this dangerous economic fork-in-the-road.

Dec 14, 2015
In this episode I discuss the erroneous logic of the left used to defend their position on income inequality. I also address the left's continued use of the phrase "Trickle Down Economics," despite ANY evidence that this theory actually exists. The final "stick notes" story is the Obama administration's war on the franchise model of business and the reasoning behind it.
The core topic of today's show is the left's use of troubling reasoning to advocate for gun control while using the exact opposite argument to advocate for abortion.
Dec 11, 2015

In this episode I discuss the reasons behind the left’s attack on new business models such as Uber and AirBNB. Rep. Nancy Pelosi has called this the “gig economy.” I also address the Obama administration’s misguided lawsuits against auto-lenders while claiming that they were engaging in racist practices. But, you’ll be surprised to hear how they determined the race of the people in the lawsuit. The final “sticky notes” story is a discussion of the CDC and their push for gun control “research.”

The core topic of today’s show is the disappearing American middle-class and why President Obama has made the problem worse.

Dec 10, 2015

In this episode I discuss why the Secret Service is such a mess. Government-enforced bureaucratic inertia and risk-aversion, combined with an intense focus on faux-diversity measures are putting the life of the President at risk. I also address the New York Times’ hypocritical efforts to defend the Obamacare insurance company bailout program while, historically, attacking the failed TARP bailout using different language. The final “sticky notes” story is a discussion of the left’s misleading use of Keynesian economics to defend their tax and spend programs. The core topic of the show is a breakdown of Adam Gopnik’s incredibly disingenuous, and misleading, piece about gun control. Gopnik either doesn’t understand basic statistical analysis, or he does, and is lying about the data.

Dec 9, 2015
In this episode I discuss the misleading, media-driven, narrative that the GOP budget negotiations can “shut-down” the government. Only one person can shut down the government and that person isn’t in the Congress or the Senate. I also discuss a terrorism threat report by Sebastian Gorka which is timely and informative and a CBO report which predicts massive job losses due to Obamacare. The final “sticky-notes” topic of the show is a brief discussion of what the “strong dollar” is and why it’s important. The core topic of today’s show is a discussion of the legality of Donald Trump’s proposal to temporarily ban all Muslims from entering the United States.
Dec 8, 2015
In this episode I discuss the dramatic electoral losses South American socialists have been suffering. The broken ideology of socialism only succeeds in the textbooks of far-left writers. I also address the FEC chairwoman’s new plan to regulate local elections using federal rules. President Obama’s bureaucrats will leave no stone unturned in their quest to expand government before they leave office. The final “sticky notes” story is Hillary Clinton’s proposal to levy an “exit tax” on companies choosing to combine with overseas competitors. This economically unworkable proposal will, unquestionably, cost the United States jobs. The core topic of the show is a continued effort by the liberal intelligentsia to pin the root cause of terrorism on their definition of “inequality,” which is liberal code for “capitalism.”
Dec 7, 2015
In this episode I discuss the organized Left’s real agenda. When the larger narrative that drives the organized Left’s actions becomes clear, the answers to questions such “Why does President Obama refuse to speak about radical Islamic terrorism” become clear. There is a reason they do what they do, and speak how they speak, which I cover in detail in today’s episode.
Dec 4, 2015
In this episode I discuss the Obama administration forcing private companies to divert funds generated from lawsuits filed against them by the government to liberal groups. This is another disturbing end-around to fund the liberal agenda with your tax dollars. I also discuss another Obamacare failure where hiring an employee in the country illegally saves a company money over hiring an American citizen.
Dec 3, 2015
In this episode I discuss the Wall Street Journal’s Holman Jenkins’ piece about a stunning theory about radiation exposure and the dangers to human beings. I also address the Wall Street Journal’s excessive attacks on presidential candidate Ted Cruz. The core topic of today’s show is the disturbing tactic of the media, and some on the Left, to immediately politicize a tragedy to gain a perceived political advantage. I discuss the narratives the Left is using to manipulate American citizens and how they immediately tried to use the media to tell their inconvenient narrative about the San Bernardino attacks.
Dec 2, 2015
In this episode I discuss the persistent myth, advanced by activists on the Left, that President Obama has been responsible for “record deportations” of illegal immigrants. I also address the economics of healthcare with respect to the market for new medicines. Some Democrats are pouncing on the high price of the Hepatitis C drug Sovaldi as evidence of a “market failure.” However, this case is really evidence of a government failure, not a “market failure.” The core topic of today’s show is a discussion of the economics of climate change and why the most efficient path forward to a cleaner environment is a free market, not big-government, command-and-control economics.
Dec 1, 2015
In this episode I discuss the reasoning behind the Left’s seemingly conflicting goals of ever-increasing tax rates and then proposing legions of new tax credits. As always, the “why” matters and I explain it in this episode. I also address President Obama’s bizarre statements at the Paris climate conference on both mass shooting incidents and on the economics of climate change. The mass shootings statement was just plain inaccurate and his statement on climate change indicated an understanding of the economics of climate change but a total disconnect on the actual solutions.
Nov 30, 2015
In this episode I discuss the inexcusable rhetoric by some on the left after the Colorado shooting incident where the subject entered the Planned Parenthood facility. I also address the current debate on Capitol Hill about education funding and a relatively simple fix, if we could muster the courage to put politics aside. The core topic of today’s show is the Obama administration’s attempt to insert itself into the private pension market and put taxpayers on the hook for the bill.
Nov 27, 2015
In this episode I discuss Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and her questionable response to a question about the city’s overly restrictive firearms laws. I also discuss a whistleblower report that immigrant children are being place with people with extensive criminal histories, including child molestation. The core topic of the show is a misleading opinion piece written by the NY Times’ Paul Krugman about the Obamacare death spiral. Krugman sacrifices any remaining credibility he has left to defend the indefensible.
Nov 25, 2015
In this episode’s “Just the Facts Matt,” with Matt Palumbo, I discuss the Left’s fascination with hammering American businesses into submission with our unnecessarily high corporate tax rate. I also address the Obamacare death spiral and how this is a frightening harbinger of our healthcare future.
Nov 24, 2015
In this episode’s “sticky-notes” I discuss the war on business occurring within the Democratic Party as they continue to drive American businesses overseas through their confiscatory tax policies. I also address the troubling incident at the Turkish-Syrian border involving the downing of a Russian fighter jet. The core topic of today’s show is the Obama administration’s Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and their attempt to “guess” the race of auto-loan applicants in an attempt to prove widespread racial discrimination in the auto loan industry.
Nov 23, 2015
In this episode’s “sticky-notes” I discuss some critical takeaways from the Louisiana Governor’s race and from the elections in Argentina. I also address what healthcare is going to look like if additional healthcare insurance companies follow United’s example and pull out of the Obamacare exchanges. The core topic of today’s show is my editorial piece at Conservative Review which addresses President Obama’s consistent failure to prioritize his time. When given the opportunity to do the right thing for us, or the right thing for himself, he typically does what’s right for himself.
Nov 20, 2015
In this episode I discuss how the Mumbai and Westgate Mall terror attacks served as the “canary in the coal mine” for the future of terrorism. I also discuss Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren’s shameless attack on corporate tax reform and the damaging effects the tax is having on middle-class workers in the United States. The core topic of today’s show is a discussion of a major blow to Obamacare. One of the country’s largest employers is now pulling out of the Obamacare exchanges which will inevitably set off a parade of horribles.
Nov 19, 2015
In this episode I discuss some developments which have the potential to destroy your retirement holdings and bankrupt your pension. These regulations and Federal Reserve decisions should be the focus of a more vibrant public discussion because they will damage your ability to support your family in retirement. I also address President Obama’s decision to focus on gun-control during his last year in office, despite the numerous economic and national security threats we face. This is additional evidence of a President completely out-of-touch with concerned Americans as he requests more restrictions for legal gun-owners and, shockingly, he threatens to veto measures for more security restrictions for Syrian refugees. Finally, I discuss an interesting piece in fivethirtyeight.com discussing the presidential race.
Nov 18, 2015
In this episode I discuss the Left’s penchant for overly restrictive land-use regulations and the damage it is doing to the real estate market. I also address the blatantly unconstitutional actions by President Obama with regard to closing Guantanamo and the threat to our constitutional republic that this presents. I cover the comments by FBI Director Jim Comey about the broken Syrian refugee “vetting” process and the contradictory comments by Attorney General Loretta Lynch. This has the potential to place Americans in very real danger and this confusion about the “vetting” process will only worsen the doubts about the process.
Nov 17, 2015
In this episode’s “sticky notes” I discuss the rapidly deteriorating economic situation in Puerto Rico and what it means for us. I also address the FCC’s efforts to regulate the Internet and the dangers this presents not only for innovation, but for Internet freedom as well. Finally, I address the comments by Democratic California Senator Dianne Feinstein challenging President Obama’s ISIS comments. The core topic of today’s show is the failing Japanese economy, which is now back in recession. Instead of learning from Japan’s mistakes, the United States is replicating them.
Nov 16, 2015
In this episode I discuss the primary takeaways from the Paris terror strikes including: an analysis of the three-front attack ISIS is now waging, President Obama’s failure to accurately diagnose the threat, and commentary on what you should do. I also address a pending banking and financial crisis and some options we can utilize to minimize financial risk in the system by forcing investors, not the taxpayers, to absorb the inevitable risks.
Nov 13, 2015
In this episode I discuss the movement by a number of activists to make college “free” in the United States. We are in a state of paralysis when it comes to debating these suggestions. There is a right side, which recognizes that economic incentives and costs matter, and there is a wrong side that is ignoring the obligations placed on others by declaring education a “right.” I also discuss some proposals for the Democrats for their national convention. They should lead from the front and practice what they preach.
Nov 12, 2015
In this episode I discuss another flip-flop by Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is now turning her back on school-choice and a generation of students who will be left behind due to a poor education. I also discuss the economics of government intervention in the healthcare and higher education arenas. Whenever we see a prolonged spike in costs in our economy, almost certainly a failed government payment model is right around the corner. It’s paradoxical how many on the far-left fail to see that the areas within our economy which are seeing the largest cost spikes are also the areas of the economy with significant government footprints on them.
Nov 11, 2015
In this episode our resident fact-checker Matt Palumbo breaks down some persistent myths propagated by the left about tax policy, the minimum wage, the “Clinton Surplus,” and the difference between public debt and intra-governmental debt.
