In this episode’s “sticky notes” I discuss the Obama administration’s tactic of using “process as punishment.” The administration’s appointees at the EPA are abusing the public notification process of new energy regulations, along with the glacial pace of our legal system, to impose draconian energy regulations which will dramatically increase your electric bill. I also discuss CBS morning host Charlie Rose and his inability to acknowledge that Hillary Clinton lied to America about Benghazi. It is media incidents such as this that have alienated the American people and led to their growing disdain for the mainstream media. The core topic of today’s show is an explanation of the Obama administration’s shameful tactic of dividing up the country for pure political gain. Remember, a large swath of the electorate votes against Republicans, not for Democrats, due to this disturbing strategy.

In this episode’s “sticky notes” I discuss the Obama administration’s dangerous new attempt to get its hands into your pension fund for political purposes. I also address the abysmal third quarter 1.5% economic growth rate and some of the reasons behind the stagnant economy. I conclude “sticky notes” with a brief discussion of the budget deal which spends over 400 billion additional dollars in 2016. The core topic of today’s show is the economic misinformation campaign, disguised as a series of debate questions in last night’s CNBC presidential debate, which is doing substantial damage to any honest dialogue about taxes and government spending. The liberal media, and the Democrats appear to be incapable of telling the American people the truth about the economy.

In this episode’s “Just the Facts Matt,” guest Matt Palumbo and I discuss the far-left’s manipulation of data to support a government takeover of the United States’ healthcare infrastructure. We also discuss the misleading characterization of Obamacare health insurance premium data to make the case that this disastrous piece of legislation is succeeding.
Oct 27, 2015
In this episode’s “sticky notes” I discuss an economically illiterate Washington Post editorial regarding the coming debt ceiling hike and the accumulation of over 33k dollars of new government debt, per household, since the beginning of John Boehner’s speakership. I also address the dangerous situation developing in the South China Sea. The core topic of today’s show is the Federal Reserve’s attempt to print 3 trillion dollars of new money and their mistaken belief that this would rescue our struggling economy. This money is flooding into financial assets and not where it is needed, into new capital investment.

In this episode’s “sticky notes” I discuss the dramatic Medicare Part B premium hikes and the media’s failure to tell the public why healthcare cost inflation is accelerating. I also discuss the gun control crowd’s refusal to acknowledge that increasing gun ownership in the United States has been associated with decreasing levels of gun violence. Again, the left appears to only be interested in “the science” when the data fits their narrative. The core topic of today’s show is the re-emergence of single-payer, government-controlled healthcare in the state of Colorado. The progressives pushing for this type of program are seemingly immune to the history of state-level, single-payer healthcare. Vermont, a deep-blue state with a Democratic governor tried to implement a similar single-payer plan and failed miserably, scrapping the plan due to extraordinary costs.

In this episode’s “sticky notes” I discuss the potential game-changing result if former Democratic candidate for the presidency, Jim Webb, decides to run as an Independent. I also discuss Conservative Review’s Steve Deace’s piece about the Speaker of the House race. Why aren’t more conservatives stepping up? The core topic of today’s show is the politicization of the President’s Cabinet and the use of Defense Secretary Ash Carter to run interference for President Obama’s catastrophic budget plans.
Oct 22, 2015
In this episode’s “sticky notes” I discuss the “Iran Deal” which should really be called the “Obama Deal” because the Iranians have shown no inclination whatsoever to stick to their portion of the “deal.” I also discuss an incredible poll showing that 49% of Democrats have a favorable view of socialism, a system responsible for the death of millions, and the destruction of legions of world economies. The core topic of today’s show is the continued failure of the Obamacare Medicaid expansion. Obamacare will continue to fail because the economics of Obamacare are illogical, and the Medicaid expansion is no different.
Oct 21, 2015
In this episode’s “sticky notes” I discuss the assignment of Secret Service protection details to Donald Trump and Ben Carson and the dramatic implications for the 2016 presidential campaign. I also discuss why the Benghazi terror attacks and the ongoing search for answers is critical to the future security posture of the United States. The core topic of today’s show is the liberal left’s obsession with the economics of failure, despite convincing evidence that the policies they espouse will lead to economic destruction and collapse.
Oct 20, 2015
In this episode’s “sticky notes” I discuss the shocking Canadian electoral victory of Justin Trudeau, another ideological liberal running on the politics of redistribution. There is a troubling magnetism to the politics of theft and envy that we must attack before it’s too late. I also address the record federal tax revenues brought in and the government’s failure, even flush with new cash, to balance its books. If not now, then when? The core topic of today’s show is an analysis of the policies being proposed by presidential candidate Bernie Sanders and how they are bedrocked in greed and envy, not sound economics or morality.
Oct 19, 2015
In this episode’s “sticky notes” I discuss the disastrous Federal Reserve quantitative easing program and why it distorted, and slowed down, our economic activity. Despite this, former Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke continues to defend this program. I also discuss the state of California and its leveraging of its massive population to implement a liberal agenda across the country and the means by which it is accomplishing this. The core topic of today’s show is a discussion of the Common Core education standards which have become a flash-point for Conservatives fighting for educational innovation and freedom. I explain the reasons why this program has been so damaging to the quality of education and the ability of local governments to control their own schools.
Oct 16, 2015
In this episode’s “sticky notes” I discuss why a presidential campaign’s “burn rate” or, the amount of campaign funds they are spending as a percentage of their total funds raised in a period, is critical for establishment-type candidates but not as significant a factor for grassroots candidates. I also address President Obama’s absurd claim that declining union membership is a major factor impeding our struggling economy. The core topic of today’s show is an analysis of former Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke’s claims that the Federal Reserve’s unprecedented interventions in the economy after the recession helped the economy recover. In today’s Wall Street Journal Alan Blinder and Mark Zandi defend these, and other government interventions in the economy, despite common sense dictating otherwise.
Oct 15, 2015
In this episode’s “sticky notes” I discuss the persistent myths about the housing crisis which the left promulgates to avoid talking about the federal government’s substantial role in causing the crisis. The core topic of today’s show is the ongoing Obamacare death spiral. As the costs of Obamacare plans grow due to the many mandates for coverage, and persistent third-party payer effects, the pool of insured people will only be those with the costliest ailments. This will cause more dramatic cost hikes and eventually Obamacare insurance plans will be too expensive for Americans to afford.
Oct 14, 2015
In this episode’s “sticky notes” I discuss President Obama’s threat to bypass the US Senate again on an international climate treaty which should be submitted to the Senate for ratification. When questioned on this, a White House spokesman said about the Senate “it’s hard to take them seriously.” I also discuss Donald Trump’s claim that he should have Secret Service protection and how this process works. The core topic of the show is a breakdown of some of the more nonsensical policy proposals addressed during last night’s Democratic debate. Between the 18 trillion dollars in “free stuff” Bernie Sanders is proposing, and Hillary Clinton’s assertion that the State Department “allowed” her to maintain a private server, there was a lot of nonsense spread around last night.
Oct 13, 2015
In this episode's "sticky notes" I discuss the numerous failures of GOP congressional leadership and their efforts to sweep these failures under the rug. I discuss the Iran deal and the Iranian's commitment to embarrassing the Obama administration at all costs. I conclude "sticky notes" with a discussion of world renowned scientist Freeman Dyson's critique of climate science and the Obama administration. The core topic of the show is a discussion of President Obama's statement that we are "better off than we were seven years ago."
Oct 12, 2015
In this episode's "sticky-notes" I discuss the repeated attempts to resurrect the Export-Import Bank and DC-Insiders' love affair with crony capitalism. I discuss the scandal involving Hillary Clinton's email server and the massive leak of national security information brewing. I also discuss new Obama administration regulations on financial advisers that will hurt the poor and the middle-class. I end the show with a detailed discussion of the government's destructive role in the healthcare arena and how its payment model is going to bankrupt you and endanger your health.
Oct 9, 2015
In this episode I discuss the Obama regulatory agenda and how this mound of new red-tape is costing you significant sums of money, while also creating the conditions for environmental degradation. I also discuss the liberal fascination with the rule of law when the laws align with their far-left ideology but, their complete disregard for the rule of law when the law conflicts with their agenda. I conclude the show with some facts and figures you will need to debate your liberal friends, and persuadable voters, about tax policy. The left refuses to tell the truth about the real effects of tax cuts on both economic growth and federal tax revenue.
Oct 8, 2015
In today’s episode I discuss an email I received from Angela H. about yesterday’s show on free-trade facts and myths and her family’s experience with NAFTA. I also address the U.S. economy’s investment shortfall and explain some plausible theories as to why corporate revenue is strong but, corporate investment is weak during the Obama “recovery.” I conclude the “sticky notes” section of the show with a discussion of Donald Trump’s comments on eminent domain and the billions of dollars fleeing high-tax, deep-blue states, for the tax-friendlier confines of many red-states. I conclude today’s show with a deeper discussion about President Obama, the GOP-led congress, and the many media-propagated myths about government shutdowns.
Oct 7, 2015
In this episode I dispel some of the myths about foreign trade that have made their way into the debate on the issue.
Oct 6, 2015
In this episode I discuss President Obama's shameless efforts to use the Umpqua tragedy for political gamesmanship.
Oct 5, 2015
Former Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke makes the case in the Wall Street Journal today that the Fed "saved the economy." In this episode I discuss the many reasons that this is untrue.
Oct 4, 2015
There are some liberal myths that simply won't go away. Whether it's the mythical Clinton "surplus", or the assertion that the Bush tax cuts "cost the government revenue", they are simply not true. In this episode I debunk these myths so you can too.
